It's easier for regular people to cut back on driving but this will have a rippling effect on commercial side. This means a longer delay in delivery and a higher shipping fee. We already felt the pain of this couple years ago.

that statement would be absolutely true if our oil consumption decreases as the technology advances.

Sometime, they have no choice and they have drive to their work so they have cut grocery price by eat Ramen noodles everyday. Yup, we need reduce the dependence on oil and seeking alternative energy source.

I know about what happened in past but I have no prediction about gas price will be in next days and I'm just saying that gas price will skyrocket again soon, or later or even closer from now.

It sucks for sure :roll: Look at Brazil, they have ethanol fuel about 30 years.
 
Not sure if some of you know this, but to fill you up to date:
The reason why our USA gas prices aren't that high is because gasoline prices paid by people like us do not reflect the full economic cost to society.

Here is an example from 2007 prices:

Some parts of the world are doing it already.. they don't have government to subsidize the costs thus why it costs more. The money in the government is then saved for other things to use.

Good or bad? Don't really know, don't think it'll affect the general consumers other than picky people who hate seeing prices fluctuate. It was hinted at from Obama that he wanted to cut subsidiaries, so that might be a conflicting issue for some people.
