2008-09 N.H.L. season

yes I will have to post my head shaving minus the streaking if the penguins win it all this year! At least I don't have a 'misshaped' head. Stay tuned for exclusive video footage next spring. :lol:

I beleive next week training camps open for sure.. but I think the 4 NHL teams that are starting their regular seasons in Europe (NY Rangers, Ottawa, Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay) probably will open camp earlier or so...
 
I am going with Pittsburgh Penguins for next 3 years. My Bruins will come up short again and again....nope, I still my pride to be Bruin fan.

Any interest NHL Fantasy? Just let me know as I already set ESPN's Hockey Fantasy : Deaf NHL 2009.

I would, but not specialize enough in hockey, plus NS would probably kick our buts at NHL fantasy. Baseball fantasy is my forte

Folks.. soon enough NHL camps will open.. I think around Sept 18 or 19.. then exhibition games will start after that for Sept 21 to Oct 4 or 5.. so it gonna be interesting to see how players do after the previous season and more...
 
Ok folks.. the 2008-09 NHL regular season will open up tomorrow.. however 4 teams, the New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Pittsburgh Penguins and Ottawa Senators have started their seasons earlier this past weekend (Oct 4 and 5) in Europe.. NYR-TB in Czech Republic and Ott-Pitt in Sweden... so they all are back in North America and ready to go ... should be fun to see how the 2008-09 season unfolds!!

Yes, I won't go to Bruins home game and I will go on the road to Canadiens, Islanders, Rangers or Devils to cheer Bruins. Hmm, I can bring the sign "Sell Bruins, Jacobs or never go Bruins home game ever!".

Max..true Jeremy Jacobs really is a tight-wad owner but he has been trying to control the Bruins' finances for a long time and he dont even want to sink something into whatever that might not work... he a bit similar to the late William Kirtz (owner of the Chicago Blackhawks) who was really a stiff guy to his own team in terms of finances... who would be able to buy the Bruins from Mr Jacobs?? I wonder if his kids would want to continue owning the Bruins as long as they can and be able to do wonders like Mr. Kirtz's son Rocky has done wonders for the Blackhawks??
 
Woooooooo. Bruins are NHL's best team today...I didn't expect them to be top team this moment. :)
 
Yeah Max... your Bruins are tops in the NHL standings... can the Bruins maintain their good play and head into the playoffs in a high gear still?? That remains to be seen and hopefully everything will fall into place... there are some surprises, such as the surging San Jose Sharks as well as the Chicago Blackhawks which are finally playing great after all these lean years so far.... impressive starts and more....
 
Folks.. ya better be ready to watch on January 1, 2009.. why?? the Wireley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, will have a ice rink there and will host the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks in the 2009 Winter Classic... the game will be televised on NBC, CBC... dont miss the biggest event there!!! I intend on watching that game on CBC and tape as well!! WOOO.. btw Detroit and Chicago will wear throwback jerseys....
