$100,000 to Spend On a Car - What Do You get?

Sorry to burst your bubble... Have you considered the gear ratios? 0-60 isnt what it is all about. How about 0-120 time? Camaro will pwn. Each maker makes its own car with its own purpose. Camaro was made for high speeds, and sti was made for quicker acceleration. So you really can't compare it.

Agree, Subaru Sti is a weight advantage over a Camaro, did not good in 0-120 or long distance run. Camaro is good in 0-120.

Seen it before. In the US market, we call it Datsun 510. My friend used to have a 1970 Datsun 510 with 4 doors with a 1600cc 4 cylinder.

yup, I saw it last month ago at a gas station. Pretty classic Datsun 510. About 4 510s in Orange County, Calif.

FINE...

im gonna get Land Rover Range Rover (it is UNDER 100k)

Don't buy Land Rover. Vast history of the repairs. Sux. Buy it for $ 50k and spend $50k
on the repairs. U decide.

or.. buy it for $50k and spend some to upgrade it with quality parts so that you don't have to spend $50k to repair it :)

Already good discounts in Boulder, Colorado. There's a dealership down the street from my cafe.

They sell like hot cakes here.

its a nice looking car so I can understand why they are good selling vehicles. Couple that with expensive gas prices and its a no brainer.

Electric cars used to look so f'ugly.

Subaru do not design for HIGH SPEED (120mph or over). It's design for all weathers, RALLY, off-road, etc.

I don't choose for high speed like over 120 MPH. Not just worry about death. Worry about police busted and take my license away for few years. So I can't do job without license. No thanks.

Just wonder. Did you drive more than 110MPH before?

Nope. Only hit 90mph on the freeway when I was a teenager after a fresh rebuilt a 283 Chevy cuz I feel airborne in the front and shaky wheel steering. I backed off. It was a 67 Impala. Few years later, I hit 90mph in a 71 Alfa Romeo GTV, can't go past 90 as I was fear that an engine might expire at around 5k rpm.

Really? I did 110MPH at 01' Subaru EJ25 before and wheel steering was very smooth. It was happen in 5 years ago.

My wife did 120mph on her old 80's Honda Accord and it was smooth.

I tried Ford Focus and it was not really wheel smooth at 90mph.

That's make me hate america car for sport car with 4 bangers. That's why.

It's okay for me to pick american truck because it's high troque and strong but no speed need.

$100,000 is like a house buyer, I'd rather buy a house than a car. I would buy used car anyway.

it's not how much the house is.... it's where the house is located in.

so if my $100,000 house is in middle of nowhere or ghetto area... EPIC FAIL!

yea, like i said google yourself. they will tell you what's the location for $100,000 house. probably beverly hills 90210 HA!.

sure why not to live in the ghetto area for $100,000 house. :D

nah, i don't live in the ghetto area.

off topic.

Whats the point of that 110mph question? Only because you have only went up to 110?

For what it's worth. Ive went more than 120 mph in several cars... The best thing about one of these cars was... the gear shifting from 3rd to 4th gear at 128mph...

Over 110mph don't really impress me at all. That's all you do is hold on the wheel steer and press gas. That's it.

Off-road is more fun for change shift, clutch, brake, handle brake, gas and wheel steer.

No wonder many people said, "nascar suck, bored, lame, etc."

lol.... now you're dismissing talking about going super fast... because you only went 110mph and anything above that is "not impressive."

Now you want to discuss 4 wheeling?? I have stories about that too, and im afraid you will just go "Breaking parts don't really impress me at all, all you do is hold on wheel steer and press gas thats it"

Well.. Evading cops at 115 mph isn't all about "holding on and pedal to the metal" especially in a 1984 celica with just the 4banger in it...

just hold on steering wheel and press gas... that's it? lol no. This is not a drag race... it is a high-speed racing.

FYI - NASCAR has about 75 million fans. that's quite a lot. But I'm not a fan of NASCAR though... I like WRC and Dakar.
