For smokers who have smoke for years and it is hard for them to quit right away because of the nicotine in their system. Have to wean out ... cut down slowly.

I forbid visitors to smoke at my place. It is MY home. The smoker can smoke at his or her home. Fine with me but I will stay outside and chat. lol ..... I don't enjoy the smell and it is disgusting.

Of course I agree-- if consumers live in the half way house or group home (for extra support and get ready to go into a real world again). They take medicines or not ... Up to them thou. (it is because of the human rights policy) I am a consumer myself ;-) I live independently and many more!

Actually that person who is a mental health residential counselor. -- not a therapist. It is against a law to withhold medicines from the MH residents. She has to administer otherwise bye bye. My impression .. why does she work there even she opposes giving out the psych medicines to clients...

I agree with you ... I carefully work with my doctor -- ask many questions and discuss the side effects. Again We discuss which medicine that works for me. I see therapy too.

oops Kalista's comments are existed. LOL ... I am sorry to say this but I have to blunt about this. It hurts. How can the person who is a schizophrenic can live without medicines. Even for someone who has OCD, Bipolar or others. Some people who have Depression can treated without medicines --...

Wow Kalista, you work in the Deaf Mental Health field and you are uncomfortable administering the medicines to the consumers ... then why work there? I am on medicine for my depression. I find this nothing wrong with that. You need to be open minded with Deaf/ Mental Health consumers and many...
