I believe they are. Medicaid has been known to pay for cochlear implants, and, the majority of people on Medicaid are on the lower economic spectrum.

I'm really confused on the bolded, FF. Grendel's daughter has bilateral CIs and that has been known since she joined the forum. Doesn't that imply that she knows about CI? :confused:

How can you pretend to know sign when you don't? Short of actually knowing sign language, it's just moving the hands around in a nonsensical way. Do you see how insulting that is to someone who is actually deaf?
