What an egotistical and selfish person he is.

The lunkhead. Troops are not fighting on a president's behalf but on America's behalf. They are fighting to help protect our country. They are the ones who put their own lives on the line to protect America and are on the front lines everyday....not the president even though he is the Commander in Chief.
 
maybe he meant 'fighting at my behest,' that is, they are fighting because he's the one who sent them there?
 
He sent them there? Wasn't the thing well into the present situation before he got to play CIC? Should he have ordered an instant withdrawal in Jan 2008?

Another thing; when I have worked for someone, as all of the military is, indeed, working for Obama as CIC, why would his usage of the term "for my benefit" be so outlandish?

Another one of those badly pitched balls-low bow-girly bike-wife in shorts things.
 
better "on my behalf" than "on corporations' behalf."
 
I took it as being a "collective" term as in the many times we have had reference to something being a "collective you or your".
 
Of course they are fighting on behalf of all of us who are here and staying home.

It's perfectly accurate the way the president stated it.

Any of us could state the same.

But POTUS is held to different standards by Conservatives. They criticize him if he puts toilet paper roll with it spooling off the back. If he forgets to say "Bless you" when someone sneezes, even one time, he is not religious.
