Mitt Romney said He is Not Concerned about the Poors!

I can believe that without hesitation. I once met a woman who lived through the Holocaust. She is a hearing woman, she came from a family of deaf people. She was torn away from them and never saw them again. The only reason why she's still alive is because she agreed to have them perform...

Bill: No snacks for food stamp users

That's due to the water pollution. If the city's water is undrinkable, it's the fault of the city for failing to treat them properly. However, if treated properly, you should be able to drink it. Water here is well-treated, but I always filter it before drinking it anyway.

Mitt Romney said He is Not Concerned about the Poors!

That's hardly surprising considering the fact that Bayer is a German company. The company itself has a long history of wrongdoings, it's a wonder they're still in business.

    Does CI affect some nerves?

Yes, a lawsuit was filed against the hospital. I don't have much details on what happened, from what I know, it was a result of the surgery itself. They severed a nerve that was linked to his right arm. It happens.

made a donation to Goodwill today....

Honestly, I don't think anyone would even think of looking for a remote control at Goodwill. Let alone it being for a videophone. Just saying.

Daughter and her family arrested for stealing from her elderly Deaf parents

Reminds me of a story I once heard. A Deaf couple went to an estate lawyer, they had their daughter and son interpret everything. After the will was completed, the husband died a few years later. The wife was in for a rude awakening, she had nothing. Apparently the daughter had instructed the...

Bill: No snacks for food stamp users

The USA did not have the NAFTA and many other Free Trade agreements and more during the second World War. So even if you were to initiate a third World War, it still wouldn't stimulate the economy within the country. Did you know that during the second World War, the government took over many...

    Does CI affect some nerves?

It's the same with hearing aids. If the hearing aids is overamplified and poorly programmed, it can cause headaches, eye squinting, exhaustion and more.

    Does CI affect some nerves?

The surgery itself, there is always the risk of severing or damaging some nerves. There is one that I know of who suffered some nerve damages after receiving a cochlear implant. He lost the use of nearly his entire right arm. A lot of different surgeries often list nerve damages as a potential...

Also, never give them away for free on Kijiji or in newspaper ads. People who take dogs for free often sell them to science labs.

Bill: No snacks for food stamp users

$140 is not too bad, I know a family of seven and they spend an average of at least $1,300 a month on food. It's probably at least $1,500 by now. I think they spend way too much on food.

Bill: No snacks for food stamp users

Just in my honest opinion, I believe internet is something the deaf should be able to have. This way, they can stay in touch with the others. With no internet or phone, your chances of securing a job is greatly reduced. You have to be able to communicate somehow. If people on welfare can get a...

Three-year-old Ballyholey boy needs a bionic ear

Exactly, it is a brain surgery and from what I have read, it is not effective. People are only aware of the sounds, but they don't always quite understand it. Music is also a real problem, you can only hear the beats, not the melodies. Cochlear implants are much, much less invasive in comparison.

Three-year-old Ballyholey boy needs a bionic ear

... I just realized that it's Auditory Brainstem Implant. Yikes. Why are people still going for that? It's not very effective from what I know.
