Exactly, your response reinforced what I was thinking. That the reason why you asked that question was cause you were looking for an "opening". And that's why I answered the way I did. ;)

Sometime if they sensed that you're being sincere that just made an honest mistake or something, they'll let you get away. But at the same time also give you a bit of a warning or an explanation as to what you may have done wrong so you'd know next time.
