talked to Rob today at work.... he said he had never had his main parachute fail and has never used his reserve chute... (same as me) he did get hit in mid air by a cameraman that failed to wave off & look before pull.. that damn near killed him... and he quit the sport. Do I blame him? no...

on a "check ride"? you wouldn't dare do anything thing like crazy flight maneuvers like that on a check ride.. automatic faulure! unless you were refering to something like a bi-annual flight review.. then that's different... yea fun isn't it.

having thousand skydives... I don't see how you can safely deploy a parachute without the risk of it snagging / fouling up on something....theres too much crap too close to body to snag / foul up the parachute

great day to fly... woke up this morning and weather was great, blue sky's, 70 light winds.. called the FBO (Fixed Base Operator) to see if a Cessna 172 was avaliable to rent.. to my surprise it was avaliable all day.... so I took it and flew to ABI spent time talking to a friend with a T-6...

single.... I've been single since 2001.... today at last minute, called local FBO where I fly rented a Cessna 172 and flew 1.7 hours to ABI and just bummed around talking to Friend with a T-6 Texan (WW2 air force trainer) then flew back to DFW.... great weather to be flying... just sat...
