    Hey canadian folks

Cherry Coke oooo la la, our favourite! Dr Pepper, I find that very surprising as it is so popular amongst the younger generation here. Pepsi..Oh it's too much for me. We have fond memories of ECD, especially those ball hockey tournaments!! *wink*

Yes! Good eye Miss D! All 3 cats we have (Ashy is in Rainbow's Bridge) are Russian Blues as the breed is beautiful & very affectionate. They will head-butt your body & dance between your legs just for affection/attention. Between you and me, I love it when they demand my affections... it feels...

My kid wants a tattoo for Christmas.....

Very well said, Dixie. Even when I was married with Aghori and we lived with my parents temporarily, we had to abide by their rules for such a short time although we hated it. It was their house and we had to respect it. You just said it so well.

My kid wants a tattoo for Christmas.....

IMHO, for your son to ask at such a young age is very risky in judgment. I have 6 tattoos and I had my first when I was 25 and my other 5 smaller ones when I was 27. I was able to reserve judgment on what kind/size/shape tattoos I wanted to permanently mark on my body as well as the place of...

Lil'Bit is actually coming out of his shell and he gets along with smaller dogs than he does with the bigger dogs. He asserts his "little dog in a big dog" body status by kicking his back legs & huffing his breath each time he sees a big dog across the road. This aggravates each big dog and...

Government to School Kids: Say Bye Bye to Baked Sales

Until the kids go to school and their peers share snacks with them. Parents can't be everywhere with their kids 24/7. Kids will go to the dime store and get penny candies (if they still have it these days!)

Government to School Kids: Say Bye Bye to Baked Sales

Granted Jiro, they don't. It is the logic behind it. Sugar and a lot of it. This I agree with because each school municipality is different. This is where parents and teachers can use this advantage to teach nutrition at a very much younger age.

Government to School Kids: Say Bye Bye to Baked Sales

You are correct. From touching to breathing as it is airborne, peanut oil can be toxic to some people. Peanut butter is banned in some Canadian daycares and I googled up peanut butter in USA & came across this very interesting article. Worth the read! Peanut butter ban sparks ally - article

The white elephant game known as the Yankee swap. THE GIFTS: 1. This party's gift theme is XYZ. 2. The gift should be valued as close to $xx.00 as is reasonable. 3. The gift should be something someone would actually want or use. It should be in new or good condition. 4. The gift should be...

Government to School Kids: Say Bye Bye to Baked Sales

It may sound like overkill but take in mind of the dietary allergies a lot of people have ie peanut, dairy and/or need to follow a gluten-free diet. It's not just because the government asserts a "nutritional" diet, it's also for health reasons as well.

    "This is for him!" joke

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter. The man at the counter asked the older boy, 'Son, how old are you?' 'Eight', the boy replied. The man continued, 'Do you know what these are used for?' The boy replied, 'Not...
