Hold firm. Hold her accountable. It might be time to have a talk as to the reasons behind her behavior. Good luck, Dixie... this isn't going to be easy.

Some reasons: 1. ASL is beautiful. Some people want to learn it just for that sake alone. 2. How would you know you have nothing in common with said deaf person if you don't talk to them at all? Is being deaf all they have going for them? 3. Expand your world. Meet new people.

The name of this thread says a lot. Time to climb over that rock instead of living under it. And don't be afraid to face people who may not agree/like what you say. They might just be the ones who will teach you the most.

People who cannot seem to walk a few feet to throw their plastic bottle or can into the recycle vs. the garbage. Or better yet, people who do not even think about the planet and buy these objects to use once and then have them go into the landfills. :pissed:

Hmmm... I'm afraid I put that into "she said a lot of things that weren't true" group. She said a lot of desperate things as the plug was getting pulled on her persona.
