Ok, I made additional about cut or freeze the social programs, including Section 8, Medicaid, SSI, food stamp, etc.

Again, I just give a idea but I don't say to support or against.

If you have any idea about what kind of spending should be cut so feel free to post here.
 
This article comes from a Conservative group. They have their views. I agree with some, disagree with the rest.

As for taxes, I would love to see a flat percentage rate for all, with no looholes of any type. Why not have everyone pay the same percentage? What happens in many cases is the wealthy can afford to find ways to shield themselves from paying; via loopholes, moving offshore, etc. As long as they keep these options open, the result is the mess we have: wealthy hollering about paying higher percentages; poor complaining about paying anything from their meager salaries. At the bottom of all of this....GREED.

We want the same thing......Same rate.....no deductions no loopholes but a standard exemption to protect the poor...Say first 20,000 exempt for everyone

I agree. I have no problem paying taxes, because we need things done. I would rather drive on a decent road than spend money on front end alignments. We need law enforcement. If my house burns, I would like someone besides me manning a hose. I hear from people that hate paying any taxes. What would happen if we all stopped paying?

I support the Fair Tax on consumption rather than income.

One benefit would be that everyone would pay that tax, even people who work illegally in this country. No more tax cheats or loopholes.

And what effect would that be on the IRS? Employment wise? And what about tax accountants and those tax centers where people go to help them file their taxes?

They would have to find new jobs.

Yeah, and that's going to be a problem in trying to abolish or even reduce the IRS. It's just gotten so big it's like trying to reform Social Security it won't go anywhere. I in favor of making paying taxes easier.
 
More tax for wealthy, mean less sponsored or charity. Even for lawn, maid, etc...
