What a long body! Are you sure there isn't a pinch of Dachshund in there? :laugh2:

I don't know, but she is pretty tall. I will be taking her to our vet on Tuesday or Wednesday to find out for sure, but I am thinking about 12 - 15 pounds.

I think the poodle half was almost certainly a miniature as she is not a tiny dog. :)

I didn't realize until you posted this, that my Marley is from a tea cup poodle and maltese. That is why she is only 4lbs. My last dog was a mini poodle and he weighed between 10-12 pounds. It is strange that I don't feel like Marley is that tiny. She is kind of long also. I never knew I could love a dog so much. Now I finally get you "dog people":laugh2::laugh2:

I have been a dog person since I was a tiny child. My parents kept Boston terriers.

My first dog of my very own was a cockapoo, and he was incredibly smart. He lived to be 17 years old.

Since that time I have seldom been without a dog. :)

Poodles do have kind of long bodies and long legs too. You usually don't notice it so much with a poodle haircut.

Marley never leaves my side except at night when she sleeps in her kennel. I actually get sick to my stomach planning any trips cos I do not want to leave her. Since I got sick, she is such a part of me. I could leave my old dog at a border and he was so excited. I can't do that with Marley she shakes really bad just going to the groomer. We want to go to Maui for our 25th this October but what do I do with Marley? I know some places will let me bring her, but this trip my hubby should get ALL of my attention. Hahaha

I understand that. I never go anywhere on a trip without my dogs. They went to visit with my father in law in the hospital and hospice when he was dying, and were welcomed.

There is a lot of meaning in our relationships with our pets. They provide us as much as we give to them.

So, so true Bott. I think we will just have to go somewhere that I can take her with. My daughter watched her overnight about a month ago. I texted her about 20 times to see if Marley was ok. All my kids either work or go to school, so I can not leave her with them. They would be the only ones I "mignt" consider. Even then, it would have to be a very short trip. My hubby is really attached to her too. He keeps telling me how well she did when I was in the hospital for a month but I was unconscious. I could never do that if I was alert.

Just back from our veterinarian, where Zoey was pronounced perfectly healthy.

She got her rabies shot and heartworm prevention pill.

And she weighed 13.5 pounds.

The vet estimates she will end up at about 18 pounds when fully mature.

My kitty is bigger than your poochie (well, at least weighs more)...nah, nah, nah....

My big kitty is gentle as a lamb. So keep your ferocious doggie away from my kitty. :)

Zoey is tired after hunting drunken bees for two hours this evening!

And a little dirty faced. Luckily she goes for her first professional grooming next Wednesday. :)

Here is Zoey with my husband after being groomed last week. She looks a little more like a Poodle now. :)

Ain't she sweet!....No bows?...Red bows look good on my doggie...however, once she comes home, she tears them out....
