If you had a choice to decide now of your dream home in 5,000+ years, where would you prefer to live?

I plan to shrink myself in the capsule pill size. In that spaceship, when inserted, I plan to shoot every organ in sight.

Upon my arrival in the uterus, I make sure that the female pregnancy is impossible.

Seriously, though... I'm a bit skeptic of future spaceships. Like Lem Stanislaw's The Star Diaries book. Great example of the fallacies of star travel.

So yeah, I refuse to pick any poll choice except "Other one".

Living in a planet colony, it's not going to be like Earth whereas I get up in the morning and my dog need to go out to pee. All I have to do is to put on blue jeans and t-shirt and put my dog on a leash. That take about 1O minutes to do all that, but this living in a colony, it will take me about hour and half, I have to check to be sure my space suit is operating 100%, make sure I have enough oxygen and putting on the suit...well I have to wake up my wife to help me with it... and umm...too late...my dog just pee'ed.

In 5,000 years, huh? I'm assuming that I'll be long dead. In that case, I AM NOT F* COMING BACK TO LIVE ANOTHER LIFE AS A HUMAN!

Nice thread, Naisho! This should be a fun thread.

I picked living on a planet colony. Might not have to wait too long either. SpaceX has goals to build the first Mars colony in 15 years. I'll give them 30 years.

Ever see that movie "Sunshine" or "Prometheus"? That's where I would like to be...on a self-sustaining spaceship continually going where no man has gone before.

I would want all the female crew to be Cylon-human hybrids, though.

Heh good choice of movies.

Event Horizon HMMM.

personal spaceship and travel, but have a home planet were few people live on a base , for sharing travel stories...and trades...and to see family...

I'm definitely staying on Earth. If the entertainment die during 5000 years, I would set a journey to find a beautiful palatial theater that had been abandoned like in Dead Silence. When I do find it, I will clean up the place but I will force someone else to clean off the dirts and webs and shit like that. From there, the theater will become a home for me. Since I'm never alone, I will make a deal with everyone as to what I should do for them if I want them to become performers. If I find a theater that is already taken by unknown, oh shit I don't know. I can't think outside the box so I'll probably have my group to figure that out. 5000 years or not, it's my dream to own a theater and live in it.

I'd stay on Earth. The other things look exciting, but I need my comfort zone of my own planet even if it's very different.

Earth is still beautiful. You have thought about living another place other than Earth, obviously you haven't see Earth enough. There are so many trizillion beautiful places on Earth for you to see, breathe, laugh, and joy.

I believe this place will look same in 5,000 years later.

For me, it's not about whether or not Earth is beautiful. Earth is definitely beautiful.

But I'm also enthralled by the idea of opening up Space to the human species and discovering more and more things out there. It's an adventure!
