Sorry to be a p.i.t.a but need to do some research for teaching my deaf students here in New Zealand about different Athnem for each countryas in preparation for the Olympics that coming up next month.

Can you guys help me list the names of the songs please it would be a great help also the words or a link of that song too would be great too. THANKS!!

Try Google.

Just type in "national anthem" and the name of the country.

For the United States, "national anthem united states".

For Canada, "national anthem canada". ;)

Heh, That's all right - I hope you're able to find what you've been looking for. Good Luck! It should be fun seeing the kids learning different national anthems of various countries.

Yeah thanks as I feels it is important for the kids to understand what they are singing when they recieve their golds and the important of the Anthems around the world and what it meant to each countries.

I agree.

The national anthem is for what it represents it's country to it's own. That is something that should be taken in a proud manner or in an issue. :)

Thanks to Matlida and Chucky for putting in some anthem so will copy them and take to school ready for the time when we see one of ur people on the stand getting their gold and getting the kids to recite the anthems.

Always thought it was Waltzing Matilda but my bad it advanced australia fair. That how much i really didnt realise.

Same for America i thought it was Star and STripes but not it
Star Bangled Banner Oppsey!! :) Have learnt alot myself searching and reading different anthems.

Yeah that is the orginal one dated back to 1800s and then they sort of shorten it to the very first verse. Weird to know it was a very long one.
