You cannot succeed running business on texts

Wirelessly posted

My thoughts - Email uses a regular sized keyboard for the most part and with texting you mostly use thumbs and takes a little more effort to get used to if you're not a regular text user.

texts are on tiny screens, e-mails are on big screens.
texts are short, e-mails are long.
texts may cost money to send, e-mail is free.
texts do not have spam filtering, e-mail does.

In general, the public is still more comfortable using speech than typing.

Not to mention both forms of communication are unsecured. I would use an encrypted server for business communications and online transactions.

another problem is that hearies tend to call the deaf text number and leave a VOICE message no matter how many times you tell them - um cant hear so dont leave voicemail pls.

It's much harder to keep a record of text conversations in case something goes wrong with your transaction.
