My son is deaf and I am trying to learn as much as I can about deaf community/culture. I have learned much here and am still learning.

That's really cool. Your son must be proud of you -- his daddy for bein' considerate. :D

Yes Kalista, Remeber you taught me my first lesson about not refferring to deaf as a handicap... I think your exact words were F__K You. It's all good though because I did learn from that and will NEVER make that mistake again. For the lesson, I thank you.

:ty: I have been drumming since 4th grade. My son is 10 and he was deafened by menengitis when he was 18 months old. BTW - Nice pic of yourself.

That's awesome and here's a great place for you to learn!! menigitis doesn't happen very often nowadays. Anyway, welcome to AD.. :mrgreen:

Do you mean he went deaf cause of my drumming or cause of the menengitis. I didn't know if you were kidding or not. By the way,,,, that picture of the pig is not you I am so sure.... LOL... Just kidding...
