I felt such a bond, you mean you are not ASD? :( I already know it was your original diagosis Souggy.

By the way I know another Deaf person who managed to change their diagnosis to " Autistic behaviors caused by hearing loss." I just kept both, as neither one were hurting me.
 
FYI Botte, I am not mildly hoh (moderately severe both ears, from birth and not aided til I was three) Second of all, I know MANY hoh folks who also feel very strongly about being mainstreamed to the max as kids. I know many people who almost feel like they have PSTD b/c of being mainstreamed. It's simply b/c I speak out, that I don't want another kid going through what I went through as a kid (and it's still happening. It's not a thing of the past)
Third of all, the Aspie CIers are extreme. It's not just an obession. It's pretty much a monomania. If you have lurked on sites and listservs, you'd understand what I'm talking about. It's more like the way Deaf Dude is about stem cells, stem cells and even more stem cells. Simply b/c I strongly advocate for something, it doesn't mean I have an Asperger's level of obession with it.
