Wow.. My friend told me "Obama rules now"

Wow, that's really sucks when he did that to your friend.

That's what my family and Im right now afraid since we're living in Michigan which we are only 90 minutes north away from Detroit and around 45 minutes south away from Flint which they are have most % of black people living in. We wonder if they would do something to everybody because of Obama, first black man president . :ugh:
 
You should just say, "Yes, he will be President, he also understands the importance of tact and humility." or, "You're right, is this how he got ahead in the world? I must have missed that during his speeches..." Something like that.

What exactly is reverse racism? Racism is just racism whether it is directed at a causcasion based on skin color, or an African American based on skin color.

Obama becoming president means alot to black people. Some are just proud that a black man is president and others are overjoyed that this is really a change, maybe america can change, hence the progress (electing a black man).
The guy who pushed your friend in the line has a mindset that black people can have a sense of superiority now after centuries of white rule and "being run by the man(white)". That is not what Obama represent i'm sure. Everyone like to be dominate, that guy had alot of anger and use Obama's win as an excuse to hurt a white person and to make himself feel superior.

That is very true that Black people are very proud to have the first black President of the United States. You have to remember that they were abused by the White people and think that they are superior over them for over 200 years. They are majorities and we of different color, religion, and creed are minorities. For us natives all over Northern America, Mexico, Central America and South America we have been abused by Spanish, English and French for over 500 years longer than Black people. Yes, we need the change to make the white people to be better people to treat us respect and not abuse us or bully us. I am very happy for Obama to become the first Black President of the United States. We will see how we can try to help each other stop racism and hatred in our communities. :hmm:

I start to feel lik we are going back to 1940; after the world war II. After the Black American is free to able do anything as everyone else.

Now.. we are looking back and we are going to blunt and beat up all over again? What happen and what wrong with people of Color community that want make it change to become better? I don't understand why those people want vote Obama because black?

He is the first threat from American.. mean Black can create choa to murder Obama those people want make it stop.

I am happy for Obama because we need something improve or change... but what wrong with those people who doing that and say Obama rule so back off! Something like that?? Where the united?

It seems so...just experienced that from someone in my husband's family today. I was shocked and like WTF? So, looks like my Thanksgiving plans may change..not gonna accept that BS from this family member.

I would have told this guy that Americans rule the country not just one person.

You mean you have one of color family and make issue about that? Sorry about that happen...
 
I have not experienced this *yet*, but likely when the day comes I'll just look at the person like "whatever" and leave. I dont feel the need to get into a pissing match over a skin tone. I understand that blacks were poorly treated in this country for well over 200 years, but those are the mistakes of generations past. This is a new generation with a better way of thinking.

Also, lets not forget how we mistreated the Native Americans, and yet the Native Americans are not seen having a hissy fit over it, or at least not on national TV.

I am sure this will escalate and Obama will make a sensible speech to get everyone to settle down. This may even be addressed in his inaguaration speech. who knows?

Yeah, Foxrac, it was also a countywide problem. But for the Zaxby's one, it probably was in Atl. or somewhere nearby (she bought a foreclosed house in SW Atl.) My other friend told me other day that he heard on the news that NAACP leaders in Atlanta were concerned about the violence between Blacks and Whites. He said it sounded like it was addressed toward the Whites instead the Blacks/both. :shrug:

I am flying to Memphis on the 19th, I am a little worried that I would experience that in the downtown area. Maybe it will be OK since I will only be there for couple of hours.

That's true and I agree. I don't really blame that black guy for acting the way he did...black people have suffered so much for so long. Some black people are still angry about it. I'm not saying that what he did was right, but...I understand.
