Would you ever date/marry a hearing person?

I was married to a deaf man for a bit...divorced then I met a hearing
man, he didnt know sign language but he quickly learned the alphabet(hes very intelligent) then he learned sign language cuz he was so
smitten with me...lol! then we got married 7 years ago...we get along
real good...
really depends on how well you communicate...its very important!
I can speak and sign too so we both speak and sign... :)

Would you or have you ever dated/married/ are married to a hearing person? How did that go? My father is almost deaf without his hearing aids and he is even pretty deaf with them in. He married a hearing woman. She and her family leave him out of most conversations. He sits there and smiles or reads. It is pretty sad. What are your experiences?

This may not be the answer you're looking for, but I'll go anyway ;) . I have dated hearing girls before, but my fiancee, who is deaf, is a better match. It all depends on personality.

I've been with my hearing boyfriend for two years and me being deaf does not faze him one bit. Since I can talk and lipread anyone who meets me don't think I am deaf in the first place. I've never dated a deaf bloke, hell, I don't even know any deaf people! He knows that I can't really follow conversations in groups, and he doesn't really do anything about it, but it rarely bothers me. I'm used to it anyway.

I live with my boyfriend. I lived with him when I lost my hearing. He has been super supportive, kind, and very patient. I wouldn't trade him for the world.
