Worst Ticket POST IT!

During summer of 1992, I was driving back to California via Oregon from Washington, DC after a summer internship in Maryland.

Having made so many cross-country trips prior to that, I was utterly bored and decided to test the cops by going 100 MPH.

I made it all the way to North Dakota before finally caught by a cop. I was given a ticket for nearly 200.00.

Next day, I decided that my odds were low that I would get caught again. Boy, was I wrong. I got a ticket while crossing Montana. Ticket was nearly 200.00.

A week later, I was driving back to Los Angeles from Oregon. I was going 75 in 55 MPH and got a ticket for almost 250.00.

I was totally an idiot - needless to say, I never got speeding tickets again.

Dang.
I am one of those people who would grin and tell them to fuck off, this is a free country. Watch the cops piss their pants when I say that, hee hee.
*snapping outta dream*
Huh? What happened?

lol. try doing that in Germany. :^)

Worst ticket was my last one in june 2004. Leaving my bright headlights on. I tried i get the sheriff out of office to teach him a lesson how he raised them deputies but he won. Before that the sheriff deputy wrote me a ticket not feeding the parking meter which i had my handicapped sticker shown at the windshield. Then the other one failing to make a complete stop at the stop sign even no one was there at the intersection. The other one didnt make a complete stop at the red light before making a right hand turn on red. Now you see why everybody hates cops? Well they do it and wearing that badge does not give them a licence to break the laws. The badge means ""to serve and to protect,To uphold the laws and enforce the laws" not to abuse it.

Somehow, Im not surprised to see you blaming it all on the cops.

Ever heard of "taking responsibility for yourself" ?

Guess we gotta just adopt him, if that makes him feel better.
He has special needs, though.
Hmm

The worse I ever got was a ticket for making an illegal U-turn, having an expired registration sticker, having an expired inspection sticker... and having a bottle of beer in the back seat. I was 20 years old at the time... that's why it was pretty bad. Luckily, the judge put me on probation for 90 days... as long as I don't get any tickets in THAT city. Even more luck.... I never go to that city. I only went there for one day for my parents for family pictures. ;)

what city??

Meg......you do realize the cost of a plane ticket would have been cheaper than that trip :)

Yeah, but it gets the cash flow going, dude, so don't knock it.
hee hee

Oh, never mind.

Look planes are dangerous. Theyre not safe. Theyre more importaint things cops should be doing than writng traffic volations. Like theres muggings going on,Robberies,Rapes,Burgarlies and shooting people. And all they wanna do is write tickets. You realize crime rate in canada is much much lower than in the US? Cause cops in canada would patrol your neighborhood than patroling the wealthy business district like they do in the US. Cops in canada dont flash the radar gun in the highways or hide under trees like they do on 95 in south carrolina. Cops in canada would pullover their crusiers if they see anybody wondering around the streets at night and ask them for their ids. Unlike in america cops cannot do that unless they have proper cause. And belive it or not people in canada dont lock their doors and car doors unlike people in america do.
If cops would do their jobs and ignore the petty stuff crime rate would go down too.

Planes are more dangerous than 2 cars hitting at 100mph each?

Steve, I can assure you it isn't like it in our city. The last ticket I wrote was a drunk 16 year old girl who ran up onto a sidewalk and almost took out a bunch of pedestrians. She came back into the roadway and almost took out my partner and I....fortunately, the only thing damaged was a trash can (concreted into the sidewalk) a light pole and the drivers window that fell victim to my flashlight when she refused to stop with me running beside her.

I'm sure I have better things to do with my time than to keep drunk kids off the sidewalks and in between the curbs, right?

As for patroling the rich business districts....yeah right. I wish our officers actually had the time to do that....we're too busy handling the crime in the 5 'projects' located within our city dealing with people Like This (fast forward to about 35 seconds in). ....When they stop shooting at each other and calling the police because their boyfriend won't leave after having sex (Hey guys...want to get rid of an annoying girlfriend....call the police and have them remove her.....then let her back and call the cops again because your tired of her complaining...then do it one more time for the fun of it).
Our guys would love to be out fighting crime and not babysitting 5 neighborhoods.

I know I'm biased in the 'for police' category, but I speed too (and have gotten tickets for it) so I'm guilty of that.

Not to get too far off topic, but here are some results of speeding and not paying attention:

Well, if you give them a hard time... they will give you a harder time. It's best to let it go and fight it out later in court. It's against the law to not have a license place in the front of the car, but cops don't really care about it and they don't really give tickets for it. However, if you were pulled over and gave the cop a hard time... then he would likely notice that you had no license plate in the front and give you a ticket for it.

Oh really? a cab driver once explain to me judges will always go in favor of the cops. You cant say will its my word against his. On a rape case a girl can claim that guy raped her. Well if she doesnt have any eyewitnesses or any real proof that they guy raped her he goes scott free. The guy can say ""well she let me in her house and she touched my balls my what im suppose to do your honor?" He goes scott free because theres no proof. Same way i feel with a cop. If judges were so biased and think everything a cop do is right i would fight it in court and i would say where are his eyewitnesses? Where is his proof? Then id go scott free and pay no traffic fines.
