Woman Will Marry for Health Insurance

It is sad. We have let people sue Drs to the point that it isn't affordable for anyone. We don't allow healt insurance companies to compete accross state lines so people are stuck with what is available in their state. Plus the lack of competition drives the price higher. It's sad.

I have never had health ins but that was by choice. I put the full amount of the premium and deductable in savings every year instead.

Dang! I was hoping you had health ins.

Now I have to keep looking! :naughty:

Any men out there with awesome health insurance? Life insurance would be a plus too!!

(now if I can find where I put that rat poison)

I am a Canadian. If you marry me, you get free healthcare.

No life insurance.

Does that mean you now might be getting closer to the idea of getting health care?

I have always tried to evaluate the risk myself. My health account has been adding up for 24 years. I always kept it seperate. There will come a time when the risk is greater and I will need to get insurance....Right now I am estimating age 52 or so.

LOL
I would get it for you.

Most of the health plans in Texas (with good coverage) for individuals run about $500 a month and have a $5000 deductable. That means you have to need more than $11,000 in medical in one year before you would see benefits.
My annual medical expenses average under $1,000.

If I go to UT for law school in the fall I will have health insurance there....

Loan me the insurance money?

I am wondering if this woman does marry, will her spouse's health insurance cover her considering her illness might be classified as pre-existing condition?

We have dated before haven't we.....lol

That almost sounds like a Geico ad......lol

BTW $200/month sounds very cheap. Is that through your school?

No, it's not through school. It's just a really bad plan :( I need insurance in case i need to replace my knee and because I am clumsy :)

I didn't have health insurance for the past 8 years, but now I have insurance through Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Texas, but haven't had occassion to use it. I actually busted my pinky a few months ago but never went to get it set, now I think its a bit deformed.

Pinky splints are $5 at CVS.
