Wireless IP-RELAY.com service is now available to deaf and hard of hearing people. IP-RELAY Wireless allows relay users to converse with hearing people via handheld wireless device, so whether on the train or on the bus, at the airport or at the shopping mall, IP-RELAY Wireless users can call anyone, anywhere in the U.S., 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In order to use IP-RELAY Wireless on a Sidekick, users will need to follow these steps:
Download the Terminal Client application to your Sidekick.
1. Press 'Jump' button and click on 'Catalog' icon.
2. Choose 'Applications' and click open 'All' folder.
3. Scroll down list of applications and select 'Terminal Client'.
4. Select 'Preview' to read about features of Terminal Client application or skip to next step.
5. Click on 'Purchase' button to download application. It is FREE until April 5th, 2004.
6. Follow instructions on your screen until download is complete.
7. Terminal Client icon, which looks like a mini computer, is now be visible on 'Jump' screen menu.
After downloading, set up the Terminal Client application.
1. Press 'Jump' button and click on 'Terminal Client' icon.
2. Press 'Menu' button and select 'New Host'.
3. Enter the following information in the fields provided:
1. Name: IP-RELAY.com
2. Host: wireless.ip-relay.com:2510
3. Protocol: RAW
4. Next, click on 'Save'.
How to place an IP-RELAY.com call on your Sidekick through the Terminal Client.
1. The next time you select 'Terminal Client' icon from 'Jump' screen menu, simply click on 'IP-RELAY.com'.
2. You will then be connected to IP-RELAY.com relay operator who will place your relay call.
3. To hang up, click 'Menu' button and select 'Close IP-RELAY.com'.
