Will a webcam work with the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit ?

The Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit can only be used to hook up your digital camera or SD card to import photos. It does not allow you to use the camera when plugged in as a camera for video chatting. :( But updated OS may be FaceTime feature. When???
 
No way..... ipad does not have regular USB for webcam.

Also, I played with ipad at Apple Store. I tried to download ZVRS on ipad. They showed message - not Facetime compatible
 
I know that some people have misconcept about Camera Connection Kit. Ha

Yeah whos know. I love an IPAD :) IPAD is very useful when I carry everywhere without laptop. Nice and relaxing.
 
Well, I found a work around for my iPhone. I know it's not the same but this might work on the iPad too. So I figured I'd share so you can test it out.

I have a webcam app called mini webcam. You open it and it gives you an address to view what your camera is picking up. So that part works great. But the only problem is it'll only show up on that one page. It can't work in webcam chats and things like that. But there's still a way to use it in webcam chats or anywhere you'd use a webcam.

Pick up a program called Manycam. With this you can display a "screen capture" on a webcam chat. In other words you can set it to show a part of your computer screen. So you can use it to broadcast the portion of the screen that's displaying your video from my iphone (Maybe iPad too). So in your webcam chat or what ever you're using you just choose "manycam" as your camera in the settings.

I hope that helps. Let me know if anything isn't clear.
