I've seen this before. Knew that would happen. Ever see Backdraft? That's what happened in that movie.

It did? NO way. Maybe it did, I have not seen that movie in a long time!

Sadly the firemen never had to break the windows in the car, they could of put the hose on one of the two side hookups(almost every hydrant has three) and wrapped the hose around the car. I told a couple of friends who are firemen about the video and their response was basically the FD was sending a message to not park in front of their fire hydrants. They went on to say in the old days when they only had rigid hose to hook up to the hydrant they would of had to break the windows or pop the doors on the cars, but that isn't needed today.

I have known in Baltimore, that if anyone parked the car at the corner of the street where it not supposed to park, Fire truck have no room to make a right turn, so truck driver made a quick decision to backup the truck and have his right bumper pushed against the rear left bumper of parked car and pushed all the way across the opposite side of the road! Then he backed up his truck a little and manage to get in the road he wanted. All in a quick succession. I can understand why he did that because of the call he got were very serious situation, it's life and death matter in time. The parked car, the front wheels was pretty bad damage from hitting against the curb.
