why must hate our country?

Why the hate?

They hate us because they are jealous of us.

That's what many Americans want to believe and in some cases it is true.
But overall, the hate is there because of our perpetuated history of bigotry
in the face the false promise inherent in our Constitution.

Before Bush dragged us into Iraq, Germany and France as well as Iran and Arabia tried to caution him. They all said, "The solution is not a matter of settling old scores." Bush's response was, "Saddam tried to kill my daddy."
Thenceforth, he was merely awaiting an opportunity to go after Iraq. In doing so, he ignored the Clinton administration briefcase of documents detailing Al Qeda plans to strike directly at the USA, and overt caution from an FBI agent who tried to pass on more detailed information about the imminent Al Qeda using of planes as weapons plans.

A secondary objective was to provide a cheap source for our oil addiction. However, the government did not realize the unsuppressible fiery of the insurgent response or the strength of Iranian, Syrian, and even covert Arabian support for resistance to this proxy colonization so the Bush administration cannot colonize Iraq via puppet regime as planned.

Same thing in WWII, we did have pre-intelligence about Japan's intent to attack Pearl Harbor. We had broken their military communication code long before the attack. Instead to warning or positioning our fleet to discourage Japanese aggression what did we do? We left the support and battleships at anchor ordered reduced speed of the aircraft carriers so they were not at their Pearl Harbor berths during the expected attack. Knowing we were protected on both coasts by oceans and that once the out of reach of bomber attacks factories were retooled for war time production, it was only a matter of time before we and our allies ground the enemies into a humilating surrender. The goal? Create a post war economic bonanza for the USA which is what happened. Without competition from war torn Germany, England, and French, the USA enjoyed decades of unparalleled economic success. It's over now as those countries have more than recovered and are joined by the like of Japan, China, and even India in certain areas of merchandise or service compettiton.

Those who don't want to hear the truth about our government's historical behavior can be sure the hate will only grow because failure to listen means the conduct will be perpetuated, thus feeding that hatred. But all is not lost. Some people in government position not only know this but realize we MUST change our behavior and image. Thus the basis for the new House Speaker to visit Syria and others to try to open dialogue with conflict nations such as Iran and North Korea instead of constant confrontation. Hopefully they will have the courage and support to recreate America's image and thus alleviate the hate against our nation. But a blind refusal to accept the truth and act on it will be our eventual doom. One other GREAT nation made this mistake and was ripped to pieces by various means, invading hate filled armies, immigrants who helped those armies and felt no loyalty to their new home country, internal factionism that divided the populance and thus weakened the nation's resolve. What country was this? Her name was Rome.

The most damning thing is what you hear from Americans who go overseas. More and more are saying they feel uncomfortable with letting people in other nations let them know they are Americans. You can feel the resentment, the aura of unwelcomeness even in countries we call friends. This is very unlike the past when Americans were quite welcome and viewed as people to be imitated. We can either face the truth and start now changing our image and behavior or pretend folks are just jealous. If we continue lying to oursleves, one day we will awaken and not even know what hit us. We will find it isn't just Islamic nations but those we thought were our friends. It's up to us to decide which fate we will select for our country. Personally, I don't want the USA to become history's Rome II.

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Do you notice something? The song is basically about
love of the country. Yes, tactful mention is made of protecting
the country but it's mostly about being free, being loyal and the
land itself.

Now read the USA anthem. What's it about? WAR! The anthem tells oyu a lot about the attitude of a nation. That's why various groups of the past have tried to get it changed to
American the Beautiful or My Country Tis of Thee.

Okay, my pov of them jealous of us because of pure hate. We live a life better than them, have a nice house, nice car, good job and so on. Others want have same thing as we have here. We have good laws to protect us and serve. We are not worry about our hand getting cut off for stealing or being rock to death for having sex outside marriage. It is no life if we live in fear all the time. In Mexico, they are most beautiful country I would love to explore their land but I donot trust their government because of living in fear. Remembering those 500 women and young girls being murdered in the hand of corrupted government in that small town not too far from border south of Texas.

Got to go and celebrate EAster today.

To this point of the thread...

China sucks. China simply overtaken Tibet, and took a little control of Hong Kong and Macau, and fighting to overtake Taiwan. Piggy!

Russia too! That's good that Russia learned their lesson to let many countries go such like Lativa, Ukraine, Kazahstan, Takijianstan, etc., but umm... Russian need to let Japan's islands go and Siberia too. Russia is simply a asshole.

Middle East are terrible strictly on religion, poor people there...

And.. USA! Surprised? OBESSIVELY ABOUT WARS! Count how many times Bush say "war" during his speech or interviews? Bush ignored our living in the country, and only think about war war war war war, that's so him and that is what our country is today. Sadly, I am in America.

Now off point of this thread.

I am never a happy about living in any countries, period. Even Canada take about 50 percent of your paycheck for medical insurance, but they have bad doctors.

Only the way to be happy is forget about the world, and be free in your own home.

USA's motto: War, that's our job opportunity! ;)

BTW, I love it here and there's not much we can do about that and move on. USA got lot of beautiful offers to see, anyhow.

Not quite true!!!!!!! I have visited at least 25 different countries and I don't have much time to debate here but I know what I see and believe and it will stay with me - neutral.

US always go on war...

Revolution wars, Civil war, world wars I & II, korean war, Vietnam, desert storm I & II.

There are certainly things I don't like about USA. Such as USA foreign policy and the War in Iraq.
Plus outdated policies such as fur farms, declawing cats, debarking dogs, capitital punishment, and guns that are not permitted in Britain. I've also read that you are allowed to keep large exotic animals like tigers in small apartments. That must be dreadfully cruel. Mind you we aren't that much better when it comes to animal abuse.

However, there are things I do like about USA. There is a really good organisation for the blind in USA called the National federation of the Blind that incourage the blind to be independant. Much better then what we have here in Britian. I think USA have better rehabilition centres for blind and deafblind people and special university for deaf which we don't have either.

I also have things imported from USA as they are not available in Britain such as: My braille embosser Juliet Pro. Also the Leo Braun chinchilla excercise wheel, the wodent wheel (which my rats use), Green mush (special supliment for vegan rats) and Vegidog (supliment).
