Why, Just WHY????

Wouldn't surprise me if the army hospital I was born in is no longer there... Oh wow,.. it IS still there!

:hmm: wonder if I can get my birth records from them...

The hospital where I was born built a brand new building-- a larger Clay County Hospital-- the only hospital in that county-- seriously.

Here's a picture of the current building-- much larger than the one I was born in back in 1983.

The new building opened in 1998, and they shut down the old one. I had only one visit there-- to the ER for a badly injured elbow. Haven't been there since.

and we thought you were joking.

Nope. Clay County, IL. The only hospital in that region. I lived there for 16 years, and would know that. The next two counties with nearby hospitals are Effingham and Richland counties (Olney, IL)

Well, buildings don't last forever or remodeled if they could afford to.

My high school was no longer there in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the early 1970. They built a new high school on the college campus which my old high school was near by but almost close enough. That is okay but when I wanted to put my high school name like in Facebook (profile). I had trouble putting it there as they have the same name of high school in another location, different town and different state. My high school was not recognizable any more. :hmm:

yeah few h.s schools had been demolished before I moved to california cuz they made more room for new highways that opeend like mid 1990's :) cuz not many kids in san jose but back in 1950's to 1980's yep too many teens lol. but now not anymore :) so don't feel bad yeah they do demolish bulidings for new things and etc.. so life goes on I wonder if you did went by before it was demolished long time ago? :) my middle school changed alot since I left.. I was disappointed lol but like I said life goes on :)

After I graduated from high school, I never went by to visit the school or see the building being demolish. I moved out of Minnesota to live in New Mexico. I had found out the news from some of my deaf friends that told me that the school was still standing but closed up. They mentioned to me that University of Minnesota had built a new high school on their campus. I was shocked. They said that the school was added a new name to our old high school like University-Marshall High School. Beside, I really don't like mainstream school.

This here is Floyd Henson Jr High School-- where I had some of my best school years, and also had the top history grade in 7th grade. :P

I miss those years. Good memories.

Was it the school that had the top History grading?

Not sure, but here's what I know: all three years I was there, I was in the top 10. 6th Grade I finished 2nd, and 7th Grade I earned the #1 spot, and in 8th Grade I was 4th. History and Social Sciences are two of my strongest points.

The hospital I was born in got remodeled since the 1990s...not surprising considering it was Japan. :P People rebuild and redo buildings all the time.

One I was born is was remodeled and expanded. Mom was surprised to know it's still there. It was Conway Memorial Hospital and is now Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway Arkansas.

Also looked and the house we lived in when I was born is still there.
