Why is Jesus better than Santa Claus?

Oh, ye of little faith.

There is no proof that Santa or Jesus actually exists. ;)

That's true, however, I still think that John Lennon from The Beatles is more popular than Jesus...

There is also no proof that Shakespeare wrote those stories he claimed that he wrote. Did we *ACTUALLY* see him write it?

If God wrote a book about a thousand years ago, and that book still exist, scientists validated that it was a thousand year old, then will we believe that he did it today? "You have no proof...."

:)

I don't understand that thinking, Linux. That's like saying because you did not see him, Lincoln was not one of our Presidents. How about Ike Eisenhower? ;)

We got photos of Lincoln as a president, Ike Eisenhower on film and the like a strong proof that we can not refute or to disaprove. (VamPyroX's "dead-sure" evidence that he is looking for, "Oh ye little faith")

Jesus Christ's existance is based on Biblical perspective and documents generated by witnesses that existed before photography came into existance.

I understand now; if you don't have the faith, then you don't have the faith, simple as that.

John 20:27-29
Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Exactly.

It's only a matter of understanding technology.

A magician could make a ball disappear from his hands. The way I understand it, it's only an illusion.

The Bible is based on the point of view by many different people. Each person writes something from what HE thinks happened or is going on.

Let's suppose I asked 10 AllDeaf members to type up a 1-page essay on the history behind us moderators. All those 10 AllDeaf members have been here as long as each other and the moderators have been here longer than they have. Yet, will the essays match? I'm not talking about exact match. I'm talking about being similar in a sense. No, they won't. One member may see me as a person who does his job. Another member may see me as a person who is ignorant and has no respect for members. Another member may see me as a person who doesn't do anything at all. Now, if we were to make a new book called... the "AllDeaf Bible". Whose essay would we use in this new "AllDeaf Bible"?

That's how it is with the Bible. We don't know whose word to trust. For all we know, it could be made up or written by a person who knows that Jesus is wrong, but wants Jesus to look good anyway. It could be anything.

My essay will begin, "Of Beavis and Butthead, it is clear that VamPyroX is Beavis, except he needs to use Old Spice more often." :D
