Who's got VP?

I have VP 200...with Sorenson then HOVRS called me one day to change with them... anyways..,,I am HOH and practice sign ASL with my friends on VP,,it's AWESOME !! I love VP! :wiggle:

hhhmmm..... I'm intrigued with VP stuff. I had no idea what it was until now. I just youtubed it and it looks interesting. Unfortunately, I don't know how to sign. I don't have any single HOH/deaf friend so I mainly used cellphone txt or IM on laptop. I should get a good quality webcam and try VP via free service - that'll give me a good practice to learn ASL!

I used to have VP 100, now replaced with VP 200 which I am satisfied with in a few weeks ago.

A VP installer came to install VP into my office and I asked her if I could get a replacement. She said sure and added the request to another VP installer. I got it in a few days later. I learned that VP installer at my office is happening to be a VP manager. It is my advantage. :giggle: Other offices will get VP installed soon. I have to go to the offices in somewhere north to be there.

Dude, if you don't like the VP 200 - and I wonder why you dont like it and eventually, if you don't want it, send it over to me!

Wanna trade? I have the DVC - 1000 version, for the VP - 200. It is similar to VP 100 ;)

I don't know if youse were serious about the VP-tradings-- it would be like you are stealing federal property. :o Deaf customers in the US do not own Sorenson VP-100/200. :(

I know that he was very jealous than Americans have lots of VP 200. I think that Sorenson had given away lots of replacement VP100s to deaf customers in Canada if Canada goverment had approved to pay for VRS or somewhere in Europe. Why not they giving them to Australia?

Hee hee hee VP

I got VP 200 and my man got VP 100 heh hee hee hee!:giggle:

Guess what I do when I'm on VP talkin' to mah friends, I dress up funny, I had on my wiggy and my ugly fake teeth like a redneck...everybody cracked up, they like it when I dress up funny as a comedy on the VP, I was hilarious lookin', it's fun! I love to make people laughs, to cheers them up when they are down, heh:giggle:

dbarovian's right.

I have VP-100 and two DVC-1000 VPs. I got VP-100 and D-Link router from HOVRS last summer. The HOVRS technician whom I had better skills in networking than, set the router up not correctly because everything went crappy. I fixed it up myself and it worked great.

I have to make it clear with you about the questions regarding to VRS. What you said about VRS in Canada is mostly incorrect.

First of all, the Sorenson have had two call centres in Toronto and Edmonton and they are designed to provide VRS to U.S. clients only.

Last January, The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) which is similar to your country's Federal Communications Commission (FCC), approved the VRS applications and granted license of operations to Bell Canada and Telus. They will start operating their own VRS later this year. There are a big problem with their service: Their service will be provided to only four out of ten provinces and the provinces are Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. How come? The Telus Corporation provides their phone, internet and cable services in Alberta and B.C. while the Bell Canada provides the similar services in Ontario and Quebec.

The Deaf Canadians tended to buy DVC-1000 videophones from the computer stores or Ebay when they discovered the advantages about videophone. Last year, the Sorenson installed limited number of VPs in some Deaf people's homes in B.C. and Alberta as HOVRS did the same in some Deaf people's homes in Ontario, Quebec, and Maritime Provinces. Remember they are limited, not expanded to many Deaf people's homes.

You can ask me questions here because I have been familiar with VP and VRS issues in Canada. In addition, I have been in contact with the Canadian Association of the Deaf folks and people about these issues on daily basis.

Oh yes, i used to have HOVRS, i used that as myself "Mad Scientist" on it.
