I met Shawn Barnett at a party after his show which was a a deaf event. He was one cool dude. He talked about overcoming barriers in his career due to his deafness and felt strongly that deafies can do it. He was going around the country as a role model to the deafies that they can succeed in the hearing world. When I heard that he died...I thought oh sad that his life was so short and he just started his new career as a role model to the deaf world.... :(

I loved many groups and singers way back in my teenager years...I think one of the best singers in the hearing world was Micheal Jackson. He was a very talented performer and singer. Its too bad that he looks and acted messed up now. :(

Elvis was more of a perfomer then musician. I think Elivis was amazing don't get me wrong. His instrument was his voice, he played the guitar ok... His voice was the groundbreaking instrument. recording engineers had to rewire and set up new microphones just to record him...

Elvis was ground breaking in the early days...

Still he was packaged into an idol. Set out that way from the start. Elvis himself started his image even in high school.
