I read East Of Eden by John Steinbeck. That is what you're talking about, right? I didn't know there was a movie of it. The book was amazing! One of my favorite fiction novels. If you like that, you should read Pillars Of The Earth by Ken Follett. It's my other favorite. It's tough to decide between those two novels.

I'll look for the movie--I never knew there was one. Check out that other novel I stated. It's equally as captivating. Takes place around 1200 when kings and knights still existed--though that's not what it's about. You'll like it. I remember East of Eden kinda died off towards the end, but Pillars rides hard the whole way.
