Did somebody say math? Yikes! *Deafbajagal fleeing from this thread* Was never a good math student.
*fleeing along with you* I wasn't a good Math student either.

Here's the best explanation I can give you...
Basically, whatever number is given in exponent can be viewed as fractions.
2 ^ 4 = 16
( 2 ^ 5 ) / ( 2 ^ 1 ) = 32 / 2 = 16
2 ^ ( 5 - 1 ) = 2 ^ ( 4 ) = 16
So, let's try 0.
2 ^ 0 = 1
( 2 ^ 3 ) / ( 2 ^ 3 ) = 8 / 8 = 1
2 ^ ( 3 - 3 ) = 2 ^ ( 0 ) = 1
That make sense?

Yeah! And I wish someone could explain to me why any number to the power of zero equals 1. The only explanation I have ever been able to get is "Because it is."
2 + 2 = 1 + 3 = = 2 x 2 = 4 x 1 = 8 / 2 = 2 ^ 2 = 4 ^ 1 = 16 ^ ( 1 / 2 ) = 4
I am a mathematician I have a bachelor's degree on that
Not to me, because 2 times nothing should still equal 2, and zero with an exponent of 0 should equal zero.
But then, statistics is my forte. I got a "b" in calculus. I can make it work the way it has to work, but it just doesn't make sense.
i struggled with calculus, and didn't finish the second semester, but that was mostly because i just didn't study and rarely did my homework.I think that wrong.
2 X 0 = 0
I not take Calculus yet. I will do that later when I take class future.
