Can I have all three? :fingersx: I want all three. ;)

One doesn't need to have their "hearing restored" in order to achieve the other two.

Just curious do you yourself have any type of hearing loss?

Just wondering.

Or do you just feel if it was you that has one that would not be replaced?

I'd love to have success in my chosen career. I wouldn't want to be famous because I'm not comfortable being in the spotlight. As for regaining my hearing, I have CIs, so hearing "normally" wouldn't be much different than what I'm already used to. As for the million dollars, I'm of the opinion that money doesn't buy happiness.

The answer to the first question is no. I'm not sure what you are asking me in the second question...could you rephrase it?

NM, Babyblue...I re-read and think I understand now what you are asking me.

Actually, I wasn't making a choice either way. Just illustrating the point that people that are deaf have achieved fame and wealth as deaf people, so those 2 things aren't dependent upon hearing.

I have been deaf all my life and don't want to be hearing. I am use to it and love it. I don't want to be famous because if I became successful, then fame will change my life, like Marlee Matlin. Deanne Bray does not get affect by fame, yet, is it? So I would choose a million dollars to just enjoy my life like going out on the cruise with my husband and visit my family in New Mexico. We all need the money to pay the bills and do the things we need like clothes, shoes, food and do some of entertainment enjoyment for fun. Not wild party, but just clean fun. Get my drift? :D

As far as personal choice is concerned, you'll get no disagreement from me. Just stating that one isn't necessary for the other. Choice is another matter.

Thanks and I also want to correct the choice of the word, "restored" because it is not true, lol....

1 million would be my choice.

Immediately will convert it into investment. Where I can continue to create more money off 1 million. Into 15 homes as rental to create cashflow. Then build up to buying apartment. Or build business.

Then I can retire and build a camp ground for non-profit organization. Its my dream.

That would be wise to do. I would do investing and help others, too.

Never is good to keep it all yourself like some other selfish people do.

I chose to not have my child's hearing restored, but to be successful. If we had fame and success then we would end up with way more than 1 million.

One million. I will give 1 million to Children Hospital and help kids to get better.

I don't need to get my hearing restored. It doesn't bother me being deaf. I am proud of that's who I am.

I don't want to become famous.

"Restored" is not the right word if you never had hearing in the first place! Just something to say on a lazy and slow Saturday.

Hmm, my choice would be "success"..

I want to be a successful "deaf" chef but fame? no thanks, I'm too shy to be on the cam.

Yep. Kinda hard to restore what was never there, huh?

Money can't buy happiness .. but it sure can buy time!

I don't want my hearing back. The last few years I spent with it were nothing more than an annoyance, and I was relieved when it was finally gone. Although I do miss music, but I'm convinced that if I had enough money, I could figure out a way to enjoy music without hearing it.

I don't want success in the career of my choice, because for all I know, I'd choose the career that's just about to go bankrupt or obselete, downsized, and I'd be out of a job again.

If I had a million dollars, that's not enough to do much with these days, but I can invest it and get back all I need to live comfortably. I wouldn't go to the happy store and purchase happiness. It would allow me to spend less time working for somebody else and more time with my friends and family, and more time enjoying my hobby. That's where happiness comes from for me. So I'd choose the million dollars.

1. I don't want my hearing back because my deafness doesn't bother me. I'm happy what I am. :P

2. $1 million - I know money doesn't buy love and happiness including everything...but I would pick $1 million because I would pay house mortage off to be free and buy the mortage free houses and cars and future investment for my boys' future, donation to charities, etc.

3. It would be cool to bedome successful business woman but I don't want to be famous because I don't want public know too much about me.

I decided for $1 million.... :)

A great comment!

It gives you extra opportunity to use this kind of money for whatever you and/or others who you know need it to help.

Could do many things with it therefore it ain't no brain to take the advantage of receiving $1M.

fame n success: my name shines forever.

1M: will be broke in less two years, not worth it. Once broke, have to hunt for jobs again.

restore hearing: Hell no.

Nah... you wont be broke if you know how to use the money wisely. Once you get 1 million, you better discuss with investor financial planner. They will help you to grow your money more.

Not just to spend on dead assets such as car, clothing, traveling...

The key behind of large sum of money is to make it grow more. Not to lose all of it.
