Why do we have VRS and Relay and TTY?

That is like asking your mom to make call for you...

You just -need- things to complain about, don't you? VRS is ALOT faster than your "mother making a call for you". Computerized systems cannot perfectly emulate voice, to the point where it annoys many people. They also cannot provide the speed and feedback required to say, navigate a phone menu. On the other hand, voice recognition is still not that good, and especially on some static-filled phone lines, it just wouldn't work.

With VRS, IP, TTY relay, you're able to make a (reasonably) quick phone call. If someone uses vco, the person being called might not even realize they're on a VRS call. There's even talk of a deafblind asl phone service, which I think would be awesome if it came into action. It would have speeds around the "VRS" you can use instead of a slow braille tty.

Yeah true, I just need things to complain about... yes I do.
Just tired of people hanging up on me cause they don't understand relay.

Have you tried VRS? I rarely get hangs up though VRS. The reason behind why most hearing people hangs up TTY/IP relay service is because they are DARN slow!

Do you think VRS operator cares? I don't think they care how you look! All they care is help you relay the call, nothing else, nothing more AND nothing personal. Give them a try see what happens.

I'm too ugly to show myself on VRS.
