I'm just curious about who has a favourite Harry Potter book? It's a very hard decision on which one is a favourite of mine. But I can say that the 3rd and 4th (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) were equal winners.
All in all, I think all 4 were GREAT! No matter what, heh!

I have made this poll a multiple choice if you wanted to choose more than 1. :)

Cheers!

Yeah, I agree. I cried at the part when Cedric Diggory was murdered by Voldemort. I love the way J.K. Rowling describes each character. I laugh at how Crabbe and Goyle are described as dumb and clumsy, heheh.

I lOVe them all.. espcially 4th part... it my favorite so far..

Yeah, the 4th book was very riveting! I remember I couldn't put it down! For the past year, waiting for the 5th book to be released, I had re-read all 4 books at least 3 times each! I was SO desperate for a new Harry Potter adventure. NOW I've finished the 5th! I have to read it again cos I think I skipped over a few lines and read too fast, hehehe. Oops.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was quite good, yes, but just not what I had expected, y' know?

Heh, absolute favourite no matter what is the Prisoner of Azkaban. I loved how Harry works out how he fought off the Dementors. And I absolutely love how Lupin turns out to be a werewolf. (I pray you've all read the book!) It just has interesting twists in it, and yet remains a light hearted book which is I believe how the author intended for it to be. The Goblet of Fire isn't bad either, I like it, but it's a little heavy handed on mystery and suspense. Not that it's a bad thing, but I believe with each book, the target audience gets older. I wonder if this is the author's intention, for Harry's progression into adulthood, the audience also progresses.

I believe the same...as Harry gets older, the audience also gets older as the storyline's more for adults. Mature readers, that is. :)

Have you read the 5th book yet? I did...not really what I had expected, but still it was good! Very dark though.

I'd say a tie between the 1st and the 4th. The first simply because it was a great book. Not at all what I expected when I picked it up.

And the 4th because of the new things added into it. The tourney for one. Honestly.. quidditch was just getting boring.

Why are you cried when Cedric got murdered? He's just a worthless character.

Why DID I cry when Cedric was murdered? Well, he was a good person and he did help Harry get through some of the way in the TriWizard Tourney! :P

Hehehe..yeah -- it's hard to put it down once you've started to read it! I had the same problem as well! ;) You're not alone! I'm about to re-READ Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix AGAIN! Hehehehe....I already read it almost 2 months ago, but I want to read it carefully as I believe I read a bit too fast the first time around and missed out some details.

Ahhh.................Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....let's see. Let me consult with my crystal ball and see if the ball'd agree with me...........j/k.

Oh, the book and movie versions are both similiar, yet vastly different in many ways. More often than not, I prefer the book version over the movie version. Sure, the Harry Potter movies were both well made and the cast well casted...still, the book wins hands down, period.

:laugh2: :laugh2: Waterrats haha

im sure there are some pros n cons between the book and the movie series -- thats expected with the movie series would edit out some parts from the book to save on the costs of making the movie and keeping it not so long i guess :dunno:

Yeah AND they even change a few things -- things the editors think ARE subtle, but they are NOT. I can't think of a specific change they made from the book to the movie. But I do know they do make changes in some character's charactics, etc..and it doesn't bode well with us readers remembering what happened in the book and seeing it differently on film.

One for instance...in Harry Potter and the Chambers of Secrets -- when Harry and Ron are unable to access the way into where they catch the Hogwarts train back to school..they take off in Ron's dad's car...and Harry nearly falls out of the car at one point...BUT that wasn't mentioned in the book.
Another...when the Chambers of Secrets was revealed to have been opened -- a message was scrawled near the girl's bathroom the night Mrs Norris (the cat) was petrified...the message was written in blood, but in the book it was written in a special magical ink that couldn't be scrubbed off.
Snape, Dumbledore, Filch, McGongall all didn't discover that Mrs Norris (cat) was petrified until they had brought the cat into Gilderoy Lockhart's office and Dumbledore did a check up on the cat. (In the movie, Dumbledore immediately said the cat had been petrified right there - didn't go to an office or anything yet.)

So many that I cannot list here.

Well I finally finsihed ALLl 5 books and the books i liked was all of them, yes they were different but the order of the phoniex was something else, i was like whoa! and alot of pages to consume, at least i got a chance to read them all and it was intresting, one of the parts i like was the conflicting feelings harry had with cho and hermonine it was nice to have some sort of * battle* and see where they could consider thier aspect on feelings whilist harry was now starting to feel the not want to be a hero when he knew what had occurred in the previous books or past so to speak it to me is showing the difference in emtions on harry's behalf! I hope they have the 6th book preparing to come out any time soon. cuz from what i am seeing, harry needs to * graduate* from Hogwarts so the family can say WOW he did it, and the readers will be movivated as well to succeed like harry did!
