whiCh Decade do YoU iDentify YourSelves wIth?

I am definitely a 80s girl. Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Sixteen Candles, and other 80s comedies.

Big feathered hair, wearing feather clip (my mean teacher told me it was for holding a joint. I innocently denied even though I already knew it after witnessing my brother and his buddies using that clip to hold a joint to get high. I used it to wear my hair), leather vest, plaid blouse, tight jeans. I prefer the early-mid 1980s. Late 1980s did not apply to me..weird. :laugh2:

what year .model was it?

1988 RS ... I found it at a dealership the same day it had been traded in the previous owner went through it and did a complete over haul of everything rebuilt the engine/tranny... put true dual exhaust on it ... upgraded everything even had new model Camaro wheels on it. I bought it and the guy that traded it in came back to the dealership 2 days later trying to get it back already.

Buck Rogers in the 25th century. I was born before my time.

Thought it was the 21st Century, but I may be wrong. Gil Gerard was a baby sitter of mine when he was in college. He played Buck Rogers.

I pretty much identify with the 60'a, but wish I could have been from farther back in time.

I really remember the 80's- all those things Shel and Grum mentioned, I sure do remember them! Loved The Goonies, don't know how many times I saw that...punk and big hair, Miami Vice, wow, brings back memories. Later 80's, I was mostly in my teens then. I actually really liked high school since everybody was "unique" and it was a different kinda school than most others. I think those things and years stand out because of the gradual way in which I came to understand things and be able to express myself in a different way and didn't feel so alone. For many years I was physically and emotionally behind and didn't have the best way to express myself.
I was in college in the 9o's and was in a different mindset - more of a reaching forward as opposed to looking inward.

1600's , I would loved to been a Native American and seen the country before White man got here and hunted all the buffalos and seen nature at her best. I hate the way the earth and nature is being treated.

The 80s.

New Wave > The Police, The Specials, The Cars, Blondie, Elvis Costello, ABC, Culture Club, Flock of Seagulls and many more.

Rock > Queen, Bruce Springteen, Billy Joel, David Bowie, Def Leppard.

TV shows > Dallas, Dynasty, The Jeffersons, The Golden Girls, Cheers.

That was during my 3-years college life at NTID. Crazy times.

The list for his "must see"
80's
Sixteen Candles
Better Off Dead
Breakfast Club
Weird Science

and the 90s
Fight Club
Snatch
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
True Romance

Better Off Dead is an awesome movie .... I WANT MY $2 DOLLARS!!!!

Going by my list you'd think I was a man or a teenage boy :giggle:

The dancing burgers, Howard Cosell, but think the exchange student pretending not to know English was awesome. Totally.

The 70's, when my family all lived together and I always felt safe.

I'm a 80's guy. I like some of the bass-themed 80's music. Many of the good ol soft toned 80's cartoons and the famous 80's movies like Back to the Future series and many others. My mind is busy right now so can't think of what else right now.
