Gee you got 1955 Packard? Its rare!

Even though Compaq and HP have both Intel and AMD, and not both of them are same thing and AMD usually out performanced than Intel based model! I did open the case and see different brand of motherboard between Intel and AMD!

I'm still running my HP AMD 64 laptop and I love it way much better than my old Packard Bell and Gateway desktops. A year old and it does take a lickin' an keep on tick'n.

After all HP used to stand for Hewlett-Packard and its interesting that 2 of my pooters have Packard in their brand names. Maybe I should get a 1955 Packard Four Hundred classic car just so I can say I have 2 Packards.

Hmmm I have an e-machine ... would it be brand name or what? Well I don't have any problem with it since April 2005.

Yes it is branded name, owned by Micro$oft!
That is good that you don't have plm with them. :) Like I said in the beginning, brand name means nothing. It has to do with CPU, and what you get out of it. SOme of them makes soooo cheap, while others make it so good, even with same brand!

It's great that you got your Macbook.

Let me say about a tip - Let's suppose that you saw a website with some pictures, and the website does not have zoom in to see the bigger picture. With your OS X, you can do that. Look at your keyboard. Hold three buttons: press Apple icon, option, and + (or -). Press + again and again (or same thing for - ). You can move your mouse where you want to search on the screen. Isn't that fanatic?!

If it is not working, look at the bottom dock that says "System Preferences." Click it, and select "Universal Access." For Seeing, click "On" for Zoom. You may also want to select Hearing, click for "Flash the screen when an alert sound occurs." When you are finished, click the red dot at top left corner of the window (i.e. Red, Yellow, and Green dots). Then, try the zoom in with these buttons.

HP Pavillion PC using Windows XP Home Edition and Toshiba Qosmio laptop using XP Media (XP Pro). Both still runs great!

Still have two old HP Pavillion (with Windows ME) but both crashed and plan to get rid of them soon. Gave away the our first HP pc (Win 98se) to parents in law before that and they still use it.

Plan to buy my wife a Toshiba laptop maybe before the next summer.

I got my MacBook Today! I loved it! I am falling love with it lol!!!

That's awesome about got new Mac. Have fun with Mac.

I'm going get MacBook for college in next year and still using Windows for sharing the files.

Oh god, Packard Hell.. I had one of those.. *shudder*

Yeah tell me about that kurt. Way back in 1998, when I had that Packard Hell, it was so damn slow for a 233 Pentium. 32 megs of memory and that was more like being in purgatory. Besides that I didnt have so much problems.

The Gateway I had after the Packard Bell was much worse than that. Windows ME upgrade totally killed the computer.

Now since I had the HP, I learned to love AMD cpu's more than Intel cpu's :)

and oh diehardbiker I mean I wish I had the 1955 Packard so it would go nice with the HP laptop  (and I know they are rare as hen's tooth)

I have a Gateway desktop computer from September 2001. Old, eh?

e-Machine is WORST computer's brand ever...

None. My computer is self built. Its alot cheaper than getting pre built ones :| .....well depends what you want in it :D

I did not know that your computer is rebuilding itself automatically without your help. That would be nice. I am afraid that it will control your life someday. hee hee. Just kidding. Smile. I know what you mean.

Heh, yea.. I used to own my FIRST PC was IBM PCjr in 1985. I sold it.. Shouldn't have SOLD it cuz I realized it's value already! Wow! I still have IBM PS/2 Model 55sx (That's 386sx/16mhz) in garage that was when I bought in 1988. :D

Gotta love when going in Computer store and type: C:\>format c: /q :D
