My sister in law's father passed away over the weekend, so this morning, me and my family went to the Georgia National Cemetery for the funeral. Her father had been cremated but the memorial service was held there (He was a Vietnam Veteran). My sister-in-law's mother had been very abusive, and her father had come and taken her and her sister away from her mother, so she was very close to him. I think I may have met him once - but went to show my sister in law that we loved her and she is family no matter what.
After the funeral, me and my wife stopped and ate at a KFC on the way home. That was when our little boy decided to say "mama". He also signed "milk" for the first time too .... it was amazing - I burst into tears. I normally don't do that - I am a "tough" guy.
After we made it home, I changed clothes and headed out to cut up some oak trees for firewood that had fallen in someone's yard.
