Do you remember what goals you wanted to be in the future?

As a kid, I wanted to be a fireman but ended up being an UPSer. ;)

A cop or a firefighter. My hearing kept me from going into law enforcement so I ended up being a fireman/traffic officer/FD admin for over 20 years.

Airline pilot or train driver.

I've worked at an airport and in a railway control room, but always watching them, never driving them myself.

I wanted to be a teacher

But...that didn't work out so well for me so now I am working in a clothing store which I liked more now.

For those of you that know me, that's too easy - a dance choreographer. I still freely do so like a big goof wherever, but looks like my backup up plan as an accountant is realized instead.

I want to serve in military, Navy, Air Force or Marine but can't because of my hearing status.

Wanted to be an artist, writer, or an interior designer.

Instead, I am a teacher hoping to get the teacher specialist job that I interviewed for last week.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an astronaut. Today, I am looking for something related to electronics, because I'm good at repairs.

When I was living in Biloxi MS and we live near Keesler Air Force Base. The AF jets flew over us in a thundering sound, I kept looking up in the sky and always wanting to be an AF pilot.... and for sure you already know of why I'm not able to get in. So, ended up as IT.

I wanted to be a cop, then a soldier. I ended up being a soldier for 10 years. Because of that, im here with you guys. Now I move freight for offshore oil exploration.

I actually managed to get up close to a CSX locomotive many years ago, when it was fueling in my old hometown. It was then that I learned how much fuel the larger locos take, and the smaller ones take. That info has stuck with me since then.

I wanted to be a lot of things. Teacher of the Deaf, artist, author, doctor.... all at the same time!

Vet. Turned out to be a dental hygienist. I say this while drinking cherry coke and eating starbursts. I obviously am in the right profession for my vices.

On my second to last day working on the railway, I got to ride in the cab of one of these for the morning. It was a nice going away present (especially since the following day, my last, we had a pretty serious disaster with a viaduct collapsing!)
