When can you video the police?

Considering all the high speed toys the mil is giving to cops these days, im sure if the state really wanted to body cam al cops it would do so without batting an eye.
Thing is
Plenty plenty of cop unions and departments oppose body cams...
Why?

I recall about federal government will help to pay police department to get body camera.

What do you mean why? They always fight for their members' rights so...

It's time for the unions to learn and accept it. It's mandatory, period.
