186? Oh please! Gimme a break! Im sorry, you have been misled by someone at a university. Theres almost never 140+ out there in the world.

You might want to take a test again. Maybe go to INTERNATIONAL HIGH IQ SOCIETY

if youre that smart, you should have done some research of any psych tests and its relation to the deaf population as a whole as this is a deaf-related website.

I dont think this test is accurate - they are selling stuff after you take the test.

plus it is timed, people tend to make more mistakes when they are timed.

Also alot of those tests were what comes next in the pattern when really I could not identify a pattern especially on those random marks.

they want you to feel stupid so you'll buy their product that makes you smarter. (yeah right)

BTW - Ive taken an IQ test before and I scored 124. neener neener.

And for the record Im unemployed so I dont believe that IQ asessment. Smart people can be poor too. :D

I dont know if you have read my thread carefully. I took the test when I was 18 years ago and havent taken any recent tests. I believe each one of us have different intelligent levels. I never said "Im smarter than you..." crap. Come on, that would be very disrespectful, right?

If you're that smart - great! Good for you! The IQ score in the range of 120-140 can related to ANYBODY and not just deafies.

You can take any IQ tests at any schools, college, institutes, etc. for free (some doesnt require timing and some do). I took the test with a longer timing.

STAY AWAY from sellers who sells IQ tests! They're thieves!

Oh yeah, I agree some people with higher IQ are poor.

I remember being given the test at least twice, I got a 120 on the verbal, and something over 140 on the written, I think. I even surprised the heck out my guidence counseler when I scored as high as a college graduate on the spatials while in 7th grade.
 
Well I can tell you a cheap and easy way to raise your IQ - keep learning throughout life. :D Doesnt require a Ph. D. but you can continue to read books, and do the occassional mind excercise game such a Sudoku or Crosswords. Heck even playing memory can help. :D

Thats great! I think you should have one score for the whole test. Modern IQ tests produce scores for different areas (e.g., language fluency, three-dimensional thinking, etc.).

IQ scores remains pretty much the same thoughout your life, there is no way you can change your IQ scores. Does not matter if you finish Ph.D degree or NOT.

Last time I was in high school, they tested my IQ which it was 126 and now with this test I took here, pfffthhhhhhhh it said 102. IQ mean nothing to me, people who use common sense are the smart ones.
 
I've never subjected myself to an official evaluation. Although I have taken a couple of online IQ tests for the heck of it. If I recall correctly, I scored a 138 the first time. However, online IQ tests are said to be very unreliable and inaccurate. In fact, I think it'd be best I don't know my actual IQ. I would feel I had a standard of intelligence to live up to, and would just feel bad for myself when I can't meet those expectations.

IQ are not importants.. no one is perfect to being on IQ *scoffs* IQ are just show off or ego smart than anyone who are low smart yeah right nobody is perfect. just as friends are friends. :)

That question you're asking about everyone's IQ score, even for fun, is irrelevant. There are many different IQ tests out there, and unless you say the name of the IQ test, you'll find that everyone has different IQ scores for each test respectively. By the way, you say there's almost never 140+ out there in the world. Do you know Marilyn vos Savant's IQ score? She writes a column in the newspaper and her IQ's over 180 on some IQ tests.

Take a look at Uncommonly Difficult IQ Tests and let us know which test we should take to compare IQ scores (if anyone doesn't mind). The problem with IQ tests is that they're biased tests, and may place people in the wrong categories. I've taken IQ tests before and found several different scores, and like darkflare83 I got a really high score, but then on another test I got a much lower score.

So what IQ test was it that you're referring to?
