My name is Erin and that seems weirdly personal for the internet

We moved to Ireland when I was little and my parents thought there would be lots of Erins, what with it being an "irish" name. Fail. There was a brand of soup called "Erin," but that was it. I got called Erin Soup a lot. Or worse, my teacher thought my name was "Aaron" and I was too embarrassed to tell her otherwise because I thought she had mistaken me for a boy.

I have never liked my name. Wonder why?
