Yes, it's also called that. (and that is it's rating, by the way). I was just refering to the correct jacks that a network would need, because after all, you can install category 6 cabling as well if you really wanted to run your network on that. But I can't tell you how many times I've seen people accidently buy RJ12 jacks & Cat 3 cable (phone jacks & Cable) at a local hardware store and think they can use that instead to hook up their network.
