to publisher. What about textbook for deaf person? "ASL FOR DEAF PERSON" book is different from "ASL FOR HEARING PERSON"?
sounds like a ground for discrimination! i think
Well I can't blame the publisher, need more better title. Maybe the discrimination. I am not sure about. It was explaining history about deaf culture.
oh well! it wouldn't offend me anyway. I'd probably laugh aloud in the class. crap.... it's almost 7:30pm... time to take my gf out for a dinner... her b-day dinner at Michael Jordan's Steakhouse at Grand Central Station... it's good steak!
to be continued...
Yay I am full time student now!!!!!!!!!!
Yay, I am taking a total of 6 hours this semester. My total tuition for the semester totals to 913 dollars.
Oh lord, I feel special now.....
I would take more but due to scheduling conflicts thats all I can take this semester, dammit.
Haven't got my books yet - but I just registered like 15 minutes ago. My advisor was gracious enough to email me the registration code because she is going on a sabbatical.
When I pick up my syllabus for my classes, I will know and will purchase accordingly. Technically you're not expected to have your books on the first day of classes.
Most profs won't assign homework or reading on the first day, its more of a 'here's the syllabus, here's how I plan to instruct you, this is your one and only warning.'
But by the second day your gauranteed to have your first assignments. I expect that I will have my first paper to write before the end of the month. I will need to contact the disabilities office to see about having a CART or real-time captions for my algebra class as I will be on campus for that course in the evenings, and quite possibly a tutor for algebra as well.
My other course is an online composition course. Im going to be busy 3-4 nights a week. Whew! But I am looking forward to it.
Tomorrow I need to make a stop at wally-world for a calculator and them thangs ain't cheap!
I'm returning to my university tomorrow.
Hard to believe that this summer flew by fast.
Yes, next week my DD returns to her FINAL year of pre-school, and I return to university for the first time in 5 years next Thursday. And Maddie's Awana Clubs starts its 9-month session Wednesday. Wow, I am going to have a busy week next week.
