At my old job I did everything from trimming breasts, to throwing combos over, washing slats, building combo bins, de-icing chicken pieces, pack out, calibrating scales, loading the box machine, running labels off for shipping, loading the lines, evis floor clean up, evisceration of the guts, production de-bone floor clean up, and replacement for anyone on vacation. I also helped Q.A. and HACCP with their stuff when they needed it. I literally was the jack of all trades down there and I enjoyed the non-routine part of my job. I was working off-line and I had freedom to run around a bit and not stay in one spot waiting for time to pass by. I had the option that if I needed a bathroom break I could take a bathroom break because no one was needed to take my place for 5 minutes. I could take my breaks pretty much any time I felt like it as long as I did not take more than 60 minutes in one day. I usually took a 25 minute morning break and a 35 minute afternoon break. People were jealous. Stupid me got cocky and arrogant and I started having too much of an attitude. I got mad one day and just walked out. That was probably the stupidest career mistake I made. If I had stayed I probably could have been in a trainer position by now training new people for various on-line and off-line job positions. One step away from a line foreman position. Every day that I am at PJP I kick myself in the ass for leaving Wayne Farms.
Aww ..dont beat yourself over it. We all make stupid mistakes. I am sure u will find the job that will fit u since u seem so determined.
