I didn't take AP or college-prep classes in high school. I was still able to take CLEP tests that gave me college credits for some English, math, science, and humanities classes so that I didn't need to take them. I also got credit for my military school.
For all the general requirement college courses I did take, I appreciate what I learned from all of them. I don't think they were wasted. I think it's beneficial to have a well-rounded education.
Not everyone needs to have a formal college education in order to be well-educated.
