10 million dollars? 10 million dollars is not as much money as you think, so don't start giving it away to people before you stop to think what it will buy for you and how it will take care of you for the rest of your life. Everyone get a calculator.
In theory, after taxes are taken out, and the government gets about one third of your money, you will have 6 million dollars. Okay, in Eastern Massachusetts, the average piece of property is about $400,000. That's about a half a million dollars right there. In Newton, MA, average homes go for $700,000 to $1,000,000. I'll be 32 in October. God willing, I plan to live until about 80. If, because I'm rich, I put about 50,000 dollars for living expenses aside for the rest of my life, and then buy house in the best neighborhood outside of Boston for about a million dollars, and buy a house down Cape Cod on the water for a million we can see where I'm at: $2,400,000 + $1,000,000 + $1,000,000. I've spent $4,400,000 dollars on myself without including vacations. I'm left with 1,600,000 to, in theory, to go on vacations with, send any kids I ever have to college with, or, as you all are doing, giving it away.
