Well, what was it if you care to share?
No need to be specific, this is just a thread to look back during the years of 1/1/2008 to 12/31/2008. I'll most likely be looking into another one for 2009, when this year's over so we can reflect on what we bought.
What was your biggest purchase during these 365 days?

Note: Things like investments should not count in here, like education or a business investment. The purpose in those institutions is that you get your money back in the long run.

During 2008, mine was undoubtedly a toyo FJ Cruiser. That put a dent in the wallet.
 
$5500 BMW Motorcycle + $1500 + motorcycle safety gear + $1000 dell laptop. and then I went into hardcore saving mode.

New hearing aids, which sadly are not paid for yet, so they probably count as 2009's biggest purchase too. :(
 
Big fancy Apple computer so I can see All Deaf in HD and Blu-Ray.
 
Bought HDTV 40" Samsung which my fiance begged me to buy for his PS3 and Xbox360 and enjoy watching t.v. ((Loving my hdtv...nice vision))

Rent/Gas for the car...

GAS sucks!!!
 
Rent is the biggest expenses for me so far in 2008.
 
My taxes must pay back not receive refund :(
 
My new sunglasses. Because of the power of my lenses, they were a whooping $1000.
 
I guess computer for my son for Christmas and new netebook laptop. OFC our trip to NC...we blew a lot of money on out eat and gas. But awesome trip! :)

ahh, i will say, Kids' expenses such as toys, sports fees, clothes, personal stuffs that left me nothing for me to buy for myself. (i m not complaining and it is only temporary ) :cool2:
 
WOW! Reading this I feel pretty damn cheap! LOL! The most expensive thing I bought was an Acer Aspire One for $350... Nice little laptop if I don't say so myself :D
 
netbook, GPS, shredder, rent, gas, flight tickets, and etc....
 
Its from Mazda.. and it is a '08 Mazda3, type S ..
Love it, but jesus I've never spent $24,000 in my life!!!
 
bought SUV last August .. before that I bought 46" sony bravia in February. More big items for me to buy this year - MacBook Air is my primary goal.
