This may not be the most absurd question anyone would ask a deafie or anyone, but someone asked me one regarding my Cochlear Implant.
She asked, "is that thing attached to your brain?" when she asked me only out of curiousity, I felt like laughing like a maniac but I managed to stifle it.
I said no it's not. It's attached to your scalp but not inherently. It requires a surgery for a magnet to be placed under your scalp and that's how your Cochlear Implant is "attached" to your "brain".
