What to do about Kiddy porn?

I just downloaded Kazaa today, and have spent the last few hours messing around, trying to find stuff to download. Anyway, I was looking at the selection of lesbian porn, when I chanced on a desciption that made me sick to my stomach. Someone was actually trading lesbian kiddy porn! This wasn't just "oh they are just a little underage, so it's a grey area " type stuff.....According to the desciption, the porn was 2 13 year olds fucking each other! (and the description said that they might even be as young as 10!) I tried finding an e-mail addy(on the Kazaa site) to complain, but no luck. Can anyone give me some good advice as to whom I should report this stuff ? I would love to see this porn put out of comission and the guy selling it to be put in a deep dark festering dungeon! Thanks for any help!

Yeah, deafdyke -- I agree with what you said about banning kiddy porn. That also includes adult porn as it can damage a kid's perspective of what life is really like. It's hard to really screen and prevent kids surfing on the 'Net as there's so many sick people who manage to find ways of spamming people's email accounts with porn and the sorts.
There are a few good quality kid filter for computers in filtering out porn, swear words and the sorts.
I have tried to supervise my 2 step kids while they surfed the web, it's no easy task doing that and they're aware of me trying to look over their shoulders. :P I have gone onto their computers and looked in the cache of the MS Explorer and haven't found anything dirty. My step daughter's 13 and she's quite adept with computers and grapic designs and she's become a bit crafty in hiding stuff she's been seeing on the web...she swears and cusses like hell and puts it on her personal web. We've tried to get it removed but her mother doesn't give a shit. Reason for that is she's sucking up to her daughter to keep her on her side rather than daughter's father's side and mine. Grr...

Dozen busted in online child porn sting


Play the video (07/29/03) HAUPPAUGE - Police have nabbed 12 Long Islanders for allegedly downloading child pornography over the Internet. Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota announced the arrests Tuesday following an investigation over the last several months.
Using the peer-to-peer file-sharing program Kazaa, Suffolk computer investigators targeted the 11 men and one woman for allegedly possessing and allowing to share child pornography. The defendants range from a 38-year-old man to a 16-year-old high school student.

Each of the defendants face a variety of felony charges including possession of child pornography and promoting child pornography. Each one of those charges has a penalty of four to seven years behind bars. The 12 defendants have their next court appearances in August.

In the meantime, Suffolk DA Thomas Spota is warning computer users who use file sharing programs that police are now actively looking for people in the county who download child pornography.
